I am crazy in love with RDO - Part 1
Yes, I love this game. Red Dead Online is like therapy in many ways for my real life person. But it also has it's dangers.
So I speak as my real life person - non of this is part of my RDO story or character.
I have been super interested in psychology my whole life. The psychological aspects of playing such a realistic game are fascinating to me.
for example, since I never played any video games since the days of like the original Nintendo - i think I had no preparation for this realistic virtual world.
It is so much like a real Holideck from Star Trek. But it's here for me to use.
I am older (- age will not be divulged, that's my boundary). But through RDO...
- I am able to be 18 again - with great athletic abilities (compared to now, anyway), and ...
- Being able to ride like the wind - AGAIN - on horses (YES!!!)
- And then be able to pretend I am in this alternate reality as a different person with a whole different life
- AND we can't forget the fun (and pain!) of the relationships we can have with other players -
OMG, this game is just totally mesmerizing...
My first 10 months were a real steep learning curve for me - cuz my real life person has had to learn how to properly sort out and separate my gaming virtual reality -- that also somehow lives inside my head -- from my real life.
Now I am in month 13... and I am helping to create the Star Theater RDO Game - cuz man really? There is soooooooo much more players can do with RDO.
THE STAGE IS MASSIVE.
The universe (almost) is the limit of what we can do in addition to what Rockstar gives us.
SO LET'S HAVE FUN AND DO IT. Let's experiment! Let's see what we can do!
How far can we go.... ?
so... this part 1, cuz i feel i wanna come back to this subject - like a journal - and write more. there's more to be said.
Would love to hear your comments... what do you think?
ok, latah!
